Both the houses of Parliament have been adjourned on the issue of Cash for Votes scam with the opposition demanding an impartial enquiry into it. The Lok Sabha was adjourned till Noon and the Rajya Sabha till 12.30 hours. In the Lok Sabha, Senior BJP leader, Mr L K Advani said that he has given notice for suspension of the question hour to take up the issue for discussion. The Speaker, Mrs Meira Kumar appealed to the members to allow the question hour. However, the agitating members continued to press for their demand forcing the Speaker to adjourn the house till Noon. The situation was same in the Rajya Sabha, which was adjourned till 12.30 hours. As soon as the house met for the day, BJP members pressed for their demand. Some members belonging to treasury benches trooped into the well of the house saying that the question hour be taken up. Taking note of the situation, the Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari adjourned the house till 12.30 hours.
