Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the 8th working day in a row as the standoff between the government and the opposition over the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum and other scams, continued. The issue again rocked both the houses of Parliament, leading to their adjournments, first till noon and then till tomorrow after laying of papers. While the BJP led Opposition trooped into the well of the houses raising slogans to press their demand, some of the Congress members were also seen carrying placards calling for the sacking of Karnataka Chief Minister Yeddyurappa for the alleged land allotment to his family members. AIR correspondent says that although two meetings of all party's were held in a week's time to break the logjam over the issue but it remains unresolved. In a fresh bid to break the deadlock, the government had on Monday, proposed that a multi-disciplinary investigative agency could be tagged along with the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to go into the issue of 2G spectrum. However, this was strongly rejected by the opposition, which insisted that it will not settle down for anything less than a JPC probe.
