Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath today indicated that the Monsoon session will be further extended if necessary to transact remaining important legislative business. Talking to reporters outside Parliament today, he said that important legislations must be passed. He also expressed the hope that all political parties will recognise its importance and cooperate in the smooth functioning of Parliament.

The issues of missing coal files and hike in the petroleum products stalled proceedings in the Rajya Sabha which witnessed four adjournments in the pre-lunch session today. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 PM.
