Parl session: LS adjourned for day on various issues; RS till 2.30pm

The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day amidst noisy scenes on different issues. After the House reassembled at noon, the opposition members rushed into the well raising slogans in support of their demands. Biju Janata Dal members were demanding a financial package and a special category status for Odisha. The Left parties also trooped into the well demanding a CBI enquiry into the multi-crore rupee chit fund scam in West Bengal. They also demanded the arrest of all those involved in the scam. Congress members from the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh were shouting for a separate state from their seats. When the uproar continued, the Presiding Officer adjourned the House for the day. Earlier, the House was adjourned for one hour till noon. House will re-convene on Monday.
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned for the second time till 2.30 PM after witnessing noisy scenes. When the House reassembled at noon, BJP members again trooped into the well demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal blocks allocation issue. Samajwadi Party members also rushed into the well, protesting against the frisking of one of their party colleagues in the US. BIju Janata Dal member was displaying a banner demanding more funds for Odisha. As the noisy scenes continued, Deputy Chairman Prof. P J Kurien adjourned the House till 2.
