Parl pays tributes to 26/11 victims, martyrs

Both the Houses of Parliament today paid tributes to the victims and martyrs of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack four years ago.

Making a reference in the Lok Sabha on the fourth anniversary of the dastardly attack, Speaker Meira Kumar appealed to the members to pledge that the country will unitedly fight the forces of terrorism. She said the horrific memories of the tragic attack are still etched in the minds of the people.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari said the indomitable spirit of humankind cannot be subdued by such senseless acts of violence. He asked the members to resolve to fight terrorism with determination and protect the country's sovereignty and integrity.

Members observed silence as a mark of respect to the memory of those who lost their lives in the tragedy.
