A parliamentary panel has recommended creation of commercial courts at district level on pilot basis in states where commercial disputes of two crore rupees and above are pending. Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice on Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division High Courts Bill 2015 in its report tabled in Parliament, has advised other states to replicate such courts in their jurisdiction depending upon the requirement. <br/><br/>The committee chaired by Dr E M S Natchiappan has suggested that fresh commercial disputes be transferred to commercial courts or commercial divisions after their creation. It has also favoured the setting up of commercial appellate division in all 24 High Courts to hear appeal from commercial courts. The committee has recommended that the parties seeking unnecessary adjournment in commercial disputes should pay the cost of delay in deciding the case.<br/><br/>
