Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice headed by E M Natchiappan has favoured setting up Department of International Law in order to synchronize laws of the land with various international treaties and conventions. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Mumbai yesterday, Dr. Natchiappan said that in the fast changing world, many international bodies, including the United Nations are coming up with several new regulations. <br/><br/>He informed that, parliament being the supreme law making authority, in India, the Parliamentary Panel on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice is examining various modalities to be followed for implementing various treaties and conventions made at the international level.
