Parliament gave its seal of approval to the Chemical Weapons Convention (Amendment) Bill, 2012 with the Lok Sabha adopting the measure today.

The Rajya Sabha had passed it earlier. The Bill is a part of an international obligation and prohibits transfer of specified toxic chemicals from and to a country which is not party to the instrument.
