Parl adjourned till noon over coal block

Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till noon as the BJP members continued shouting slogans demanding the Prime Minister's resignation on the coal blocks allocation issue. As the Lok Sabha assembled for the day, they rushed into the well in support of their demand. The Congress members countered them by demanding an orderly conduct of the House proceedings. As the uproar continued, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House till 12 noon.

The situation in the Rajya Sabha was also similar. However, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari took up the Question Hour amidst the din as the Minister of State in PMO, Mr. V. Narayanasamy insisted on replying to the first question relating to the time limit for action against corrupt officials. He said it is an important question and he is ready to answer. He said the people of this country should know what action the government has been taking. But, the slogan shouting continued and the BJP members trooped into the well, forcing the Chair to adjourn the House till noon.
