Parl adjourned-RS till noon on coal block issue, LS to condole death of member

Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned, the Lok Sabha for the day following the death of a sitting Trinamool Congress member and the Rajya Sabha for an hour till noon due to uproarious scenes. As soon as the Lok Sabha met , Speaker Meira Kumar made an obituary reference on the death of the 84-year-old Ambica Banerjee in Kolkata this morning. He represented the Howrah Constituency in West Bengal. The House also mourned the death of a former DMK member, C Kuppusami. Later, the Speaker adjourned the House for the day as a mark of respect to the departed leaders. The Rajya Sabha witnessed noisy scenes with the BJP members demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal block allocations issue. Raising slogans, the members rushed to the well of the House. The Samajwadi Party members also surged into the well protesting against the Chinese intrusion in the Ladakh region.
