Proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the sixth day today on the coal blocks allocation issue. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha witnessed two adjournments in the pre-lunch session before finally being adjourned for the day. The BJP members rushed into the wells of both the Houses when they met for the day, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister on the coal blocks allocation. Despite the uproar, however, the two Houses could conduct some listed business. In the Lok Sabha, most of the treasury bench members countered the slogan-shouting BJP members. The scene was no different in the Rajya Sabha as well. Some DMK members displayed placards opposing the training of the Sri Lankan Army personnel in India. In the midst of the din, the Health and Family Welfare Minister laid his statement in response to a Calling Attention Notice on the alleged cases of removal of uterus in Bihar.
