Parl adjourned for day over coal block allocation issue

Proceedings in both the Houses of Parliament were stalled for the fourth day today on coal block allocation issue. Several other issues were also raised by the members of various political parties. The Lok Sabha was adjourned finally for the day at noon after an hour-long adjournment. As soon as the House met for the day, the BJP members continued to rush into the well demanding the Prime Minister's resignation over the coal block allocations issue.

Biju Janata Dal members raised their voice for more funds to Odisha, while Samajwadi Party members protested the frisking of their party leader in the US. The Left parties also trooped into the well demanding a CBI enquiry into the multi-crore chit fund scam in West Bengal and the arrest of all those involved in the case. Congress members from the Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh were on their toes shouting slogans for a separate state.

The situation was no different in the Rajya Sabha, which was repeatedly adjourned before being adjourned finally for the day.
