Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned for the day after repeated adjournments over several issues. The Lok Sabha has been adjourned till tomorrow after two adjournments in the pre-lunch session. As soon as the House met at 2 pm the DMK members again surged into the well condemning the CBI raid on the house of their party leader M.K. Stalin in Chennai. They also agitated over the Sri Lankan Tamils issue.
The Rajya Sabha witnessed one adjournment in the morning before adjourning finally for the day. When the House met for the day, DMK members trooped into the well of the House on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue and the CBI raids on their party leader Stalin. The AIADMK members also surged into the well displaying pictures of the killed son of the former LTTE Chief Prabhakaran.
In the morning, some of the Trinamool Congress members also raised slogans demanding package for West Bengal. The Upper House was adjourned immediately after the Home Minister replied to the discussion on the Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
As soon as the bill was adopted, AIADMK members again trooped into the well raising slogans over what they termed betrayal of Tamils by UPA in making just an oral submission before the UN Human Rights Council on the Resolution against Sri Lanka, forcing the final adjournment of the House. The House also returned the appropriation bills authorizing the government to spend certain amounts from the Consolidated Fund of India.
