Paris shooting: Police identify gunmen; One suspects surrenders; Massive hunt on for remaining two

French police have identified three men as suspects in yesterday's attack on the office of a weekly magazine in Paris which left 12 people dead. Police said, two of them are brothers aged 34 and 32 years, while the third is an 18-year-old. AFP quoting sources reports that the youngest of the three suspects has surrendered to the police. It said, Hamyd Mourad handed himself to police after seeing his name circulating on social media.

A major manhunt has been launched for the other two gunmen. A police operation has been reported in Reims, north-east of Paris.Protests over the attack are being held across France.
President Francois Hollande called it a terror attack and cowardly murder, and declared a day of national mourning today.

The UN Security Council led the global condemnation of the attack, with world leaders and media groups branding it an act of terror and an attack on free speech.UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that it was an assault on the media and freedom of expression.
US President Barack Obama offered his government's help in tracking down the culprits.

British Prime Minister David Cameron termed it as sickening and barbaric, while German Chancellor Angela Merkel called it despicable.

Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the attack, with Israel and Turkey also sending their condolences.
The Committee to Protect Journalists said it was a brazen assault on free expression in the heart of Europe, while Reporters Without Borders called it a black day.

India expressed anguish over the loss of innocent lives.
President Pranab Mukherjee said terror and violence have no place in any corner of the world and asked the world community to unite to root out terror.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the incident as a despicable act. He said India's solidarity lies with the people of France and his thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives in the attack.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi also condemned the incident and said extremism and intolerance will never be able to curb freedom of expression.
