The Karnataka Party Presidents of Congress G Parameshwar and JD(S) State President Kumaraswamy has come down heavily on Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa for allegedly indulging in nepotism and grabbing denotified land. Speaking to All India Radio, State Congress President Parameshwar expressed shock at the enormity of land scams allegedly committed by the Chief Minister in the state.Janatha Dal, Secular party state President H D Kumaraswamy also voiced his indignation towards the state Government for indulging in wide scale scandals and corruption charges. He said the issue should be raised in the Parliament and the BJP national leaders should ask Yeddyurappa to vacate his seat as was done in the case of Maharashtra Chief Minister in Adarsh housing scam. JDS Leader Kumara Swamy also echoed similar opinion.Earlier in the day the Chief Minister of Karnataka B S Yeddyurappa denied that there is any plan of leadership change in the state. Speaking on the sidelines of a function today, Yeddyurappa termed newspaper reports on this matter as completely baseless. He informed that he has spoken to the Party President Nitin Gadkari and there are no feelers received from national leaders about his removal. He said the investigation of the land scam charges will be handed over to a retired Supreme Court Judge. The Cabinet Ministers R Ashoka and Shobha Karandlaje announced that the party came to power under the leadership of Yeddyurappa and he will continue to lead them till the tenure comes to an end.
