Paraguay has stormed into the final of the Copa America Football tournament, taking place at Mendoza in Argentina. In the semi-finals on Wednesday night, Paraguay defeated Venezuela 5-3 in penalty shootout after a goalless draw. For Paraguay, Dario Veron netted the final spot kick to set up the final against Uruguay, which beat Peru 2-0 in the other semifinal. The final will be played on Sunday. Paraguay advanced to its first Copa America final since 1979 despite not having won any of its five matches so far. It eliminated Brazil in another penalty shootout in the quarterfinals.
