Papanasam Assembly Constituency in Tamil Nadu notified as vacant

<span style="color: #222222;">In Tamil Nadu, the Papanasam Assembly Constituency has been notified as vacant.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It follows the demise of the State Agriculture Minister R. Doraikkannu who represented the seat three times in a row since 2006.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He died of complications arising out of COVID-19 on 31st of October.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal has issued the notification today stating that the seat has fallen vacant.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">With this, four out of the 234 seats in the State Assembly remain vacant.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Kanyakumari Lok Sabha seat is also vacant due to the demise of the incumbent H. Vasantha Kumar.</span><br />''
