Pankaj Advani records second straight win in World Billiards Championships

Ace Indian cueist Pankaj Advani has recorded his second straight win in the World Billiards Championships (time format) at Leeds, England. Advani, who won the points format title earlier in the tournament, defeated Englishman Robin Wilson 1,060-376 yesterday. Having started tentatively in the first match, he registered the highest score in the Championship by an Indian, so far. He had defeated Arun Agarwal in his opening match on Saturday. Compatriot Rupesh Shaw was the other player to cross the 1,000 barrier. He outplayed Andrew Draper of England, 1,053-117.
