Pankaj Advani ensures a medal at World Snooker Championships

India's top cueist Pankaj Advani assured India of yet another medal as he stormed into the semifinals of the World Snooker Championships at Doha yesterday. Advani made it to the semis after he defeated China's Luo Honghao 6-2 in the best-of-eleven quarterfinal. Advani will next face Austrian Florian Nuble for a place in the Final. After a Gold medal in the World Billiards short format and a Bronze in the World Billiards longer format, Advani now is the only Indian to secure a medal at the current snooker world event also. The 17-time world champion has earned a medal in every World Championship held in Doha this entire month.
