Haryana Home and Health Minister Anil Vij on Friday (1st December 2023) said that  "Panjokhara" village in the Ambala Cantonment assembly constituency will be renamed as "Panjokhara Sahib" in recognition of its religious importance. He said that the Central Government has granted permission for this name change, and the Haryana Government will issue an official notification soon.<br />'' <br />''Recognizing the religious significance of Panjokhara village, he said that efforts were made to get the name of Panjokhra changed. The proposal to rename Panjokhara as Panjokhara Sahib was successfully passed during a session of the Haryana Assembly. The proposal was forwarded to the central government to officially record the village as Panjokhara Sahib in government documents.
