Elections to the Panchayati Raj institutions in Jharkhand are likely to be held by the end of this year. This information was given by the Minister of State for Finance, Mr Namonarayan Meena in the Lok Sabha today during his brief reply to a debate on the Jharkhand Appropriation Bill, 2010. He said the elections to panchayati institutions have not been held for the last 30 years. The House, later, passed the appropriation bill by voice vote.
