The civil and criminal court of Dahanu in Palghar district of Maharashtra today remanded 24 accused to judicial custody for 14 days till 4th November in connection with the mob lynching of two Sadhus and their driver in Palghar on April 16 this year. <br />''<br />''The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Maharashtra Police had yesterday arrested these 24 accused.<br />''<br />''With this the number of accused arrested so far in this triple murder case has risen to 180. Of them, 28 have been granted bail so far. The probing agency has filed three charge sheets in the case.<br />''<br />''On the other hand, a special court in Thane today postponed the hearing on the bail plea of 70 accused persons in this case to 3rd November.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, claiming that there has been no satisfactory development in the investigation of the Palghar mob lynching case since more than six months of the incident, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ram Kadam today wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Home Minister Anil Deshmukh and urged that the state Government should hand over the probe in the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a more competent and fair probe.</span><br />
