In Maharashtra, Palghar District Police is running a 'Vishwas Abhiyan', aiming to build rapport with tribal residents in the district. This move comes after the killing of three seers and subsequent arrest of many villagers in April this year. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mandar Dharmadhikari has informed that the drive is yielding positive results. While addressing a workshop yesterday, the officer said, the concepts of 'Police Mitra' and 'Dakshata Samiti' have helped in reducing complaints against the police.
