Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that the attempt of Palestinians to be accepted as a member of the UN will fail. In a statement received by Prasar Bharti in Dubai on Sunday, Netanyahu told at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting that his first goal is to ensure that Palestinian move to bypass negotiations will not succeed and likely to be stopped in the Security Council.He added that Israel is ready to enter into peace negotiations with Palestinians if they so desire. President Mahmoud Abbas has promised Palestinians he will seek U.N. membership from the Security Council.
