In Jharkhand, Superintendent of Police of Pakur, Amarjit Balihar and 6 other policemen were killed in a Maoist attack.

The naxals attacked the convoy of the SP in between Jamuni and Aam Pahadi.

The naxals had laid a trap and attacked the convoy with explosive and firing from all sides.

The DGP of Jharkhand Rajiv Kumar confirmed the killings.

The injured policemen have been admitted in hospital at Dumka. Meanwhile, reinforcement of police forces have been sent to the spot. The search operation is being carried out.
