Pakistan's PML-Q member elected as new Balochistan CM

Pakistan's ruling PML-N today suffered an embarrassing loss in Balochistan as a member of its rival party PML-Q was elected new chief minister of the state.Radio Pakistan reported that Abdul Quddus Bizenjo secured 41 votes in the house of 65. The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz despite having 21 members in the assembly could not create consensus on the leader of the house and several of its members voted for Bizenjo.

Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai administered the oath of office to Bizenjo and his cabinet colleagues. The development does not augur well for the ruling party at the centre as general elections are scheduled to be held in Pakistan on 15th July this year.
