The government today said the challenge of cross-border terrorism and large scale ceasefire violations by Pakistan continue to have a negative impact on India's vision for a secure, prosperous and peaceful neighbourhood.<br/><br/>In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said, the government continues to meet this challenge with renewed resolve and determination. She said, New Delhi's approach towards its neighbourhood is encapsulated in the Government's Neighbourhood First Policy. She said, India's engagement is focussed on greater connectivity, stronger cooperation and broader contacts.<br/><br/> Ms Swaraj said, the approach is consultative, non-reciprocal and outcome-oriented. As a result of this, significant progress has been registered in New Delhi's relations with the neighbour.
