Pakistan's attempt to list four Indian nationals in UNSC 1267 sanctions list failed

<span style="color: #222222;">India has said Pakistan's attempt to list all four Indian nationals in the UNSC 1267 sanctions list has failed. Briefing media, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said it was a blatant bid by the neighbouring country to politicise the working of 1267 procedure by giving it a religious colour.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">There was a proposal from Pakistan to add Indian nationals to 1267 ISIS and Al Qaeda sanctions list. The spokesperson said this was objected to by some UNSC members and thereafter, the Secretariat blocked this proposal from Pakistan and issued a notification.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Responding to a query, Mr Srivastava said India is in touch with Pakistan through diplomatic channels and is taking all possible steps to ensure the safety of Kulbhushan Jadhav.</span><br />''
