<span style="color: #222222;">Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in Macchil sector of Kupwara district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir today by firing mortar shells towards Indian positions.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Defence Spokesperson said that Pakistan initiated Unprovoked Ceasefire Violations along the LoC in Machhil sector today afternoon. However,   Indian Army gave a befitting response to the ceasefire violation. No casualties were reported in the incident.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">There has been a sharp increase in the ceasefire violations along the Line of Control in Kashmir over the past two weeks as Pakistan is resorting to ceasefire violations to provide cover for infiltration of terrorists into the Kashmir Valley.</span>
