In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops resorted to Unprovoked Ceasefire  Violations along the Line of Control in Rampur Sector of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, by shelling Mortars in the morning hours today.<br />'' <br />''The Defence Spokesperson said that befitting response is being given by the Indian Army. A middle-aged woman namely Akhtar Begum of Batgram has been killed in Cross LoC Shelling in Uri sector. Some civilian structures have also been damaged by the shelling.<br />''<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri, Reyaz Ahmad visited the border area in Hajipir Sector to take stock of the prevailing situation arising out of continued cross LoC shelling. Keeping in view the overall situation and the safety of human lives, the SDM evacuated about 18 families belongining to Silkot and other adjoining villages to the safer places. Essential commodities and other requirements of day-to-day life were also provided to these families.<br />'' <br />''The Sub Divisional Magistrate said that administration has geared up all the preparations in case of any exigency.<br />''He also directed the concerned authorities to keep strict vigil on the prevailing situation and  make all requisite arrangements for the rehabilitation of the people who have left their homes and are presently accommodated by the administration.<br />''<br />''<br />''<br />
