In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops on Wednesday again resorted to shelling and heavy firing on Indian positions and civilian areas in Balakote and Mendhar sectors along the Line of Control in Poonch district. According to defence sources, the Pakistani forces started unprovoked shelling in these sectors around one p.m. which was retaliated by Army. The intermittent exchange of firing was going on when reports last came in. However, there is no report of any casualty or injury to anyone from the Indian side so far.
