In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy exchange of fire between Pakistani forces and Indian Army is still continuing intermittently in Akhnnoor sector. <br/><br/>As yet another fresh ceasefire violation, Pakistan forces this afternoon resorted to heavy shelling and firing in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district along LoC.<br/><br/>According to Defence sources, Pakistani forces started unprovoked firing and shelling in civilian areas and on forward Indian posts around in Pallanwala area 1:30 PM. No injury to anyone or casualty has been reported from the Indian side, in today's firing and shelling.<br/><br/>This is the second incidence of Pakistani shelling today. Earlier in the morning Pakistani forces resorted to shelling in Nowshehra sector of Rajouri district. <br/><br/>Indian Army has been giving befitting reply to the unprovoked shelling by Pakistan along the LoC. In the aftermaths of the surgical strike in PoK, there has been an unprecedented increase in the number of ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces along the LoC. The Pakistani troops, very unethically, have been, even, targeting the civilian population. <br/><br/>However, presently, there has been a lull along the International border, yet the forces are alert enough to meet any eventuality that arises in the wake of the escalating tension.
