Pakistani forces resort to firing along LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch district

In Jammu and Kashmir, in yet another incidence of ceasefire violation, Pakistani forces resorted to firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Mendhar sector of Poonch district on Tuesday afternoon. According to Defence PRO the forces across the LoC started unprovoked firing around 2:30 PM, which prompted the Army troops guarding the borderline to retaliate.

The exchange of fire was going on when the last reports came in. No report of any loss of life on the Indian side so far. This is the eighteenth incidence of ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC and International Border in Jammu region since first of this month.
