The Pakistani Army says it accidentally killed 13 of its own soldiers during an exchange of fire with militants in Pakistan's tribal region close to the Afghan border on Monday. The Army Commander in the region, Lt. Gen. Asif Yasin Malik told journalists that the troops were firing mortars in response to an attack by militants when a mortar bomb erroneously fell on their own position.
