Pakistan violates ceasefire in RS sector of Jammu

In the wake of the neutralization of 7 Pakistani rangers by BSF, Pakistani troops last night resorted to firing and shelling at many places along the International Border as well as Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>According to Defence sources, Pakistani troops resorted to firinng and shelling in RS Pura, Samba and Kathua sectors along the International Border and Poonch sector along the Line of Control. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that Indian troops gave a befitting reply and exchange of fire at some places lasted up till wee hours today.However there is no report of any loss of life or injury to the Indian side so far.<br/><br/>In the wake of escalated tension some villages very close to border have been evacuated. BSF yesterday lunched an agressive retaliatory offensive after one Jawan of the force was injured critically in sniper fire from Pakistan in Kathua and killed at least 7 Pakistani rangers and a militant.

Pakistan violates ceasefire in RS sector of Jammu

Pakistan rangers again violated ceasefire along the International Border in the RS Pura sector of Jammu district by resorting to small arms fire late last night.Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh said, people have been advised to stay indoors and the situation is being monitored by the authorities. A BSF officer said, the jawans are giving befitting reply to Pakistan Rangers.<br/>The latest ceasefire violations comes hours after the BSF killed seven Pakistan Rangers and one terrorist in the retaliatory fire in the Kathua sector along international border in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>BSF said, Pakistan Rangers resorted to sniper attacks at Indian posts at Hira Nagar in Kathua at around 9:35 AM yesterday. BSF launched an aggressive offensive against the Pakistani firing. A BSF release said, the firing from Pakistan was effectively retaliated. <br/><br/>The strong response by BSF came after one of its Constables was injured in a sniper fire attack by Pakistani Rangers yesterday morning in the same area.
