In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the International Border in Samba sector today. According to defence sources, forces from across the border fired a few rounds in Chilyari area around 3 am today.

BSF troops guarding the borderline fired illumination rounds to track suspicious movement, however, nothing unusual was found. There was no report of any casualty or injury to anyone from the Indian side. The fresh ceasefire violation comes after a lull as BSF and Pak Rangers held two high-level meetings last fortnight to ensure truce on the border during the harvesting season.
