Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC in Poonch sector; Indian troops retaliate

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Army resorted to heavy firing and shelling targeting Indian forward posts along Line of Control in Sabjian sector in Poonch district last evening.

Firing that targeted four border posts started around 7 PM and it lasted for two hours. The Indian side retaliated the firing.

However, there are no reports of any casualty or damage on the Indian side. According to Defence sources, the firing was carried out to facilitate infiltration into the Indian territory.

For the past several days, there was a lull in the area as there was no reports of infiltration attempts or firing along the LoC.
