In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistan fired on forward LoC posts and villages in Pallanwalla area of Akhnoor sector last evening. Defence sources said, firing and shelling by Pakistan Army started at 7.15 last evening. Troops guarding the border line retaliated effectively. Firing was also extended to civilian areas later. The intermittent exchange of fire lasted for few hours. No casualty or injury has been reported from the Indian side. Meanwhile, in the wake of firing and escalated tension along the border, some people from areas very close to LoC and International Border have started shifting to safer places. The administration is providing accommodation to these people in camps.
