Pakistan troops again violate ceasefire in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan troops again violated the ceasefire by resorting to mortar shelling and firing along the LoC in Poonch district on Wednesday.

According to Police sources, the forces from across the LoC resorted to firing targeting Indian forward posts and civilian areas in Sabjian and Kerni sectors along the LoC in Poonch district Wednesday morning.

The Army troops guarding the border line has been retaliating the firing effectively. The exchange of fire that started around 9 am stopped in Kerni sector after one and half an hour while in Sabjian sector it lasted for about four hours.

There is no report of any causality on the Indian side so far. There is no fresh report of firing from anywhere along the International Border in Jammu.

The International Border and Line of Control in Jammu region have witnessed heavy firing and mortar shelling by Pakistani troops since 1st of this month which has left eight persons dead and over 94 others, including 13 security personnel injured.

Besides around 35 thousand people from border areas have migrated to safer places and have been putting up in relief camps and other places.
