India says, Pakistan spoilt the game by talking to the Hurriyat leaders ahead of Secretary level talks. External Affairs Minister Sushma Sawaraj said in New York, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for his swearing in ceremony and agreed to Nawaz Sharif's suggestion of resumption of talks.
India's Foreign Secretary took the initiative to call up her Pakistani counter part to fix dates for the talks but Islamabad spoilt the initiative just a few days before the talks, as Pakistan's High Commissioner met the Hurriyat leaders.
Sushma Sawaraj was reacting to Pakistan's National Security Adviser Sartaj Aziz's statement that India overreacted by calling off the talks.
