Pakistan should take note of revelations made by Headley: Govt

The Government on Wednesday said that Pakistan should take note of the revelations made by the terror mastermind David Headley about the role of Pak spy agency ISI in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Corporate Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said that India had been repeatedly bringing this to the notice of the neighbouring country and now it has been confirmed by the hearing of David Headley on foreign soil. At the on-going trial in the United States, Headley told the Chicago court on Monday that the Pakistani spy agency and its operatives like Major Iqbal and LeT founder Hafiz Saeed had helped him in laying the groundwork for the Mumbai attacks. Mr Khurshid said, New Delhi feels re-assured by the revelations and hopes that justice will be done to the people of India, who suffered the most brutal acts of terrorism. Speaking on the issue, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad said, more evidences will emerge about the role of Pakistan's agencies in terror attacks. He said, after the trial is over and pronouncement of the judgement in the case, the Government will come out with its detailed response on the issue.
