In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops today resorted to heavy firing and shelling along the Line of Control in Mendhar sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.<br/><br/>A 40-year old woman was killed when mortar shells fired from across the border exploded at Gohlad Kalran village.<br/><br/>A defence spokesperson said, Pakistani troops from across the Line of Control started unprovoked firing and shelling targeting Indian positions and civilian areas around 5 this morning.<br/><br/>Indian Army personnel guarding the border posts retaliated strongly and effectively. The exchange of fire continued till 7:30 AM.
