<br/>The government of Pakistan's Punjab province provided 82.77 million rupees to Jamaat-ud-Dawah and its allied institutions during the last fiscal year.<br/><br/>The supplementary budget for the past fiscal tabled in the Punjab assembly for approval revealed that the PML-N-led provincial government made a grant of over 79 million rupees to the Markaz-e-Tayyaba, the JuD headquarters in Muridke near Lahore.<br/><br/>The official documents also revealed that another 3 million rupees were given as grants to schools run by the JuD in different districts of Punjab.<br/><br/>Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, admitted during an interview to a private TV Channel that the money had been given to the JuD and said the Punjab government appointed an administrator for the organisation.<br/><br/>The UN Security Council declared the JuD a front for the banned Lashker-e-Taiba shortly after the Mumbai attacks.
