Pakistan: Nawaz Sharif shifted to hospital as his health deteriorates

<div>In Pakistan, jailed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been admitted to the country's top hospital after his health deteriorated in the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. Following his complaint of chest pain, Sharif has been admitted in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, on the advice of the doctors attending him, Geo news reported.</div>''<div></div>''<div>PIMS spokesman Wasim Khwaja said Mr Sharif was in the hospital's Cardiac Centre and his condition is stable. </div>''<div></div>''<div>The decision to shift Sharif to hospital was taken by the Punjab government which has administrative control of the Adiala jail.</div>''<div></div>''<div>Sixty-eight year old Sharif is serving a 10-year jail term in a corruption case over his family's purchase of luxury apartments in London.
