Pakistan has again violated ceasefire agreement by targeting forward Indian posts along the Line of Control in Jammu district. Defense sources told AIR that Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing on the Indian posts in Palaanwala Sector in Akhnoor tehsil around 2300 hours Friday night which triggered exchanges of fire with equal calibre arms from the Indian forces.

The exchange of fire lasted for a few minutes only. No damage to any property or casualty from the Indian side has been reported till the last reports came in.

General Officer in Commanding 16 Corps Lt Gen K H Singh today said that around 150 to 200 terrorists are waiting on launching pads across the LoC to sneak into Indian Territory in Jammu region.
