Pakistan has handed over Satyasheel Yadav, the BSF jawan, to India at Octroi border post along the International Border (IB) in R S Pura in Jammu sector.

30-year-old Yadav was handed over to Border Security Force,BSF officials by the commanders of the Pakistan Rangers. A senior BSF officer said that Yadav is in good health. Yadav was swept away into Pakistan by strong currents of Chenab river and was picked up by Pakistan Rangers on Friday.

He was out on a patrol with three other personnel in the Akhnoor sector, when the boat they were travelling in developed a problem. Yadav is a resident of village Ranipura in Firozabaddistrict of Uttar Pradesh
