Pakistan officials say security forces, backed by helicopters, have killed at least 25 militants in a north-western tribal region bordering Afghanistan. Authorities said today's operation targeted the Mohmand area. Elsewhere, a bomb blast injured a police officer in Peshawar. This was the second bomb attack aimed at police in two days.
