In Pakistan, Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar was declared an absconder by an accountability court today in a corruption reference filed against him. Declaring Dar an absconder, the accountability court in Islamabad today said steps will be taken to declare the minister a proclaimed offender within ten days. <br/><br/>By During the hearing, National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) investigating officer told the court that a NAB team had visited the minister's residence in Lahore and Islamabad after non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against him.<br/><br/>However, Dar was not found at either one of his residential addresses.<br/>Ishaq Dar, is accused of amassing assets of an approximate value of 831.7 million rupees disproportionate to his known sources of income. <br/><br/>The case was filed against Dar by the NAB in light of the Supreme Court order in July that also disqualified Nawaz Sharif as prime minister in the Panama Papers scandal.
