Hosting cricket for the first time since the attack on the Sri Lankan team in 2009, Pakistan claimed their first ODI series in 17 months yesterday. They defeated Zimbabwe by 6 wickets in the second ODI at Lahore to clinch the 3-match series.Sent in to bat at the Gaddafi Stadium, Zimbabwe posted 268 for 7 riding on Sikander Raza's 100 not out, and opener Chamu Chibhabha's 99. In reply, Pakistan overhauled the target in the 48th over courtesy opener Azhar Ali's 102. He was named man of the match.Meanwhile, when the match was in progress, a blast took place less than a kilometre from the Gaddafi Stadium killing 2 people including a police officer. Pakistan's Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that the blast was a suicide attack.The third and final ODI of the series will be played at the same venue tomorrow.
