Pakistan beat India by five wickets in the first Twenty20 International match in Bangalore last night. Chasing a modest target of 134 runs, the visitors achieved it in 19.4 overs to take a one-nil in the two-match series. This is Pakistan's first win in the shortest format of the game against India. Pakistan Skipper Mohammed Hafeez who played a classic knock of 61 off 44 balls was declared Man of the Match. Earlier, put in to bat, the hosts made 133 for nine in their 20 overs. Opener Gautam Ghambir was the top scorer with 43.For India, debutant pacer Bhubaneswar Kumar claimed three wickets during his initial spell of accurate and hostile swing bowling.The Second T20 match will be played at Sardar Patel Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad on Friday.
